Hundested, the Danish supplier of variable pitch propeller systems to many Ron Holland designed yachts have provided accurate drawings of their systems. These have been digitised into the Intergraph system at a scale of 1:1 with great accuracy. At the touch of a key the preferred system can be accessed from the components library and relocated into the design file.

This series of illustrations demonstrates how a Hundested system is integrated into the engine room of ‘Sensation'. While two dimensional drawings are adequate to build from, having the ability to design in a three dimensional environment enables the designer to execute a set of working drawings which will offer the builder the maximum design information and provide the highest level of accuracy.
