The Ron Holland Yacht Design studio is situated opposite the Royal Cork Yacht Club in converted farm buildings among the trees on the edge of the Crosshaven River. A few steps away stands the white-painted stone farmhouse where Ron Holland and his family live. The house, over 200 years old, provides a tranquil and comfortable refuge in contrast to the technology orientated studio. Behind the house and studio lies the Currabinny Forest Reserve.
- water's edge and the organized technology-orientated atmosphere inside. Although set in an artist's idyllic scene, the design process within our studio strikes visitors as being more akin to the design departments of Boeing or Porsche than the traditional image of a yacht design organization. We even use the same Intergraph Computer Aided Design systems as those organizations. We are proud to have been the first yacht designers to enter the exciting world of fully integrated Computer Aided Design.
