Designing 'Stalca' for RSH Prince Rainier of Monaco allowed Ron Holland and the Italian yacht builder, CCYD to incorporate all the personal aspirations of their important and experienced client into a powerful motor sailer. Prince Rainier and
his son Albert were involved in many aspects of the design and layout and also in the selecting of the specialised equipment. The brief was to design a very private yacht which could be easily handled by a small crew and put to sea for evening
sailing off Monaco with the shortest possible preparation time. When Prince Rainier's schedule allowed, passages to Porto Cervo and Palma were to be achieved in safety with the simplest available sail handling systems.
