LAUNCHING

From the conception of the client's dream, through the design, construction and finishing of the yacht there are many exciting moments, but the thrill of launching day is always the highlight of the total experience.

Inevitably everyone involved with the creation of an elegant new yacht can feel a sense of accomplishment, but for the owner it is an especially satisfying experience. From his original idea to have a yacht designed and built, the owner has caused a process to start that has involved talented people from dozens of trades and professions. Disciplines as varied as hydrodynamics, structural engineering, sailcloth technology, electrical engineering, hydraulics and joinery have been brought together to create a living sculpture. This is the first opportunity for the world to see the results.

After being been cleaned and shined like next year's model at the Motor Show, the yacht is manoeuvred to her ceremonial location where she is dressed in bunting and the owner’s house flag.
